Emily's Birthday Party

Lex & Isabel were invited to Emily's 3rd birthday party. It was Strawberry Shortcake themed. So cute! They all of course had a great time. Lex & Isabel get to hang out with Emily & her sister (Ali) quite a bit either at their home, Lagoon, our house, etc. They all love getting together & being silly.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, EMILY!

Musical Chairs- Lex is the winner this round!

Awesome party favors!
p.s. Lex isn't really trying to flip off the camera. He's just trying to hold his sunglasses in a stylish manner.

Flip Flop Fun Meet

Lex has been in tumbling now for two years. He's signed up for recreation and so doesn't get the opportunity to compete. The gym displays their trophies around the facility and Lex is always wishing for one. A few times a year, the gym puts on a fun meet which is for all gymnasts to show off their skills and get prizes. So, Lex & Isabel expressed an interest in participating and signed up for this event. It was a lot of fun watching them show off the new skills they've learned. When I sometimes go to watch Lex or Isabel practice, I don't always get to see what they are doing because the seating area doesn't have a view of the entire facility. They are getting so good & so flexible. Who knew my kids could bend so far?!

The kids all warmed up together and then split off into their appropriate age groups & levels. The girls had four events while the boys had six events.

Lex Event #3

AWARDS CEREMONY

p.s. Lex's "rolling eyes" look lately for pictures comes from his dad. Shane does this quite often when I take pictures of him & I think Lex has caught on. He's been such a ham for the camera lately & so funny & expressive.
FUN BUCKS
For the past few months, the kids earn "fun bucks" in class for good behavior, attendance, listening, etc. They save up their fun bucks to spend at events such as these. Isabel chose a tootsie pop & cinderella mini-frisbee. Lex chose two bouncy balls in which he gave one to his dad to share.

Here Comes The Bride

All the siblings are married now. The baby of the family & only girl was married on Friday. The reception was held at Castle Manor in Hyde Park. It was absolutely beautiful.

The Bride & Groom at the Logan Temple

Isabel wanted a picture with the bride who she thought looked like a princess. Shelly was absolutely stunning & beautiful in her gorgeous dress and with the temple "castle", it fit perfectly that Isabel said she was a princess.

Friends... my dear friends from way back came to the reception & it was so very good to see them and get to chat for a little while. They both looked so great & we hope to get together again soon.

Daddy-Daughter Dances... so sweet!

Lex was the ladies' man all night! He loved dancing with everyone & caught me completely by surprise that he knew how to "lead"!

Making wishes at the water fountain.

Lex's future wedding. As we were getting ready to leave for Logan, I was explaining to the kids why we were going up there. Lex said he wanted me to throw his wedding party and that he wanted it to be a "Nine" party. He then proceeded to tell me that his colors would be "green & black" and that he wanted cupcakes with all the numbers on them. Oh, and that he wanted it to be in Trisha's backyard. Thinking about it of course made me tear up! I'm reminded all the time how fast they grow and it really will be his wedding day before I know it.

About Me

My photo
Shane and I met my senior year of high school in 1996 and were married in 2000. It's just crazy to think we've known each other for more than a decade and still learn new things about each other. We both graduated from the University of Utah. I have a degree in Finance and Shane has a degree in Biology. We are both enjoying jobs in our respective fields. Our favorite thing to do is travel. Before we started a family, we spent two weeks in Europe touring Italy, Germany, Switzerland, and France. We want to see the world and hopefully take our children along with us when they are older. Our children are our life. Alexander "Lex" is our little man at 7 years old. He loves to try lots of new things. He's currently enrolled in soccer, tumbling & boys' hip hop. Isabel (or Bel as Shane likes to call her) is 3 1/2 years old. She is also enrolled in tumbling & dance. All in all, life is wonderful and we couldn't be happier.
