"I wanna go to the zoo!"

If you've ever seen "Jerry Maguire" you know why the title is funny. Puts a smile on my face anyway :)

We took the kids to Hogle Zoo today. It was a bit on the chilly side, but 48 degrees is sure better than freezing. I wish the sun had come out today, but we still had a good time. I don't think the kids even thought about the weather. They didn't complain about it once. There were a few animals still in hibernating, so we'll have to go again when it's a lot warmer.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Shane had to work his Saturday shift as usual so we made sugar cookies. Lots of sugar cookies. The kids had fun for the first hour and I ended finishing them up myself over 3 hours later! It was a big batch of dough. Lex gave some of his Valentine cookies to his neighbor friends, Olivia & Eryn, who he went to preschool with last year. When the weather is warm, they all play together outside. I sure can't wait for spring to get here with it's warmer days!

Bountiful Bowl

We went to parent-teacher conference last week for Lex. No big surprises. Lex is quite the talker, but we already knew that. He loves to interact at school and play with his friends. He chose to go bowling for his good report card. Justin, Deana, & Jessica went with us, too. We had a great time!

Isabel had fun the first few frames, but then grew tired of it.
