First Dance Lesson

Today was Bel's first dance lesson. She's been talking about it since we registered her and would wonder if every car ride was taking her to go dancing. The day finally came and she couldn't have been more excited. She is a little poser! I was worried when it came time for her to go into the classroom by herself that she might be timid or cry for me; especially since she fell asleep on the way there and we had to wake her up. But, once she knew where she was, she was as happy as a bug! She followed her teacher's instructions well and had a smile on her face the whole time. We were so proud of her!

A Mickey Birthday

I asked Isabel this year what kind of birthday she wanted. She replied "Mickey" so that is what I did this year. The cake was done by Salt Cake City (her blog is listed under my favs). I love her work. I made the cupcake pops. I think they were a hit. I only had a few left over. They were quite the task, but worth it!

Happy Birthday, Isabel!

The kids decorated their own Mickey-style hands.

Her first car from mom & dad.

May all your wishes come true!
I want to give a HUGE THANK YOU to all who were able to join us. It really means the world to us that you shared this special day at our home. And to those who were unable to make it, we missed you a lot and saved you a cupcake pop... at least for a few days :) I don't know if I can stay away from them!

About Me

My photo
Shane and I met my senior year of high school in 1996 and were married in 2000. It's just crazy to think we've known each other for more than a decade and still learn new things about each other. We both graduated from the University of Utah. I have a degree in Finance and Shane has a degree in Biology. We are both enjoying jobs in our respective fields. Our favorite thing to do is travel. Before we started a family, we spent two weeks in Europe touring Italy, Germany, Switzerland, and France. We want to see the world and hopefully take our children along with us when they are older. Our children are our life. Alexander "Lex" is our little man at 7 years old. He loves to try lots of new things. He's currently enrolled in soccer, tumbling & boys' hip hop. Isabel (or Bel as Shane likes to call her) is 3 1/2 years old. She is also enrolled in tumbling & dance. All in all, life is wonderful and we couldn't be happier.
