Gingerbread Houses Sugar-Free Style

Lowe's does this awesome workshop for kids every other week and this one was for a wooden Gingerbread house to make and decorate with sugar-free stickers :) That's my kind of Gingerbread house! The kids had fun and Lex is getting really good at these workshops. He was able to build this one all on his own!

Part 2

Wedding, Beach, & Disney In 4 Days! Part 2... LONG BEACH... absolutely beautiful weather. Only wish we had arrived sooner so we could have enjoyed the sun a bit more. Next time. Sunset sure makes a beautiful backdrop, though!

Wedding, Beach, & Disney In 4 Days! Part 1

It's been a long day and I have so many pictures to go through, but I thought I'd start with my favorites from Disney's Halloween Time. It was just so special for us to go this time of year. We are a Halloween loving family and wished we could have stayed longer. Next year!

Jack Skellington's Haunted Mansion- best ride this visit! Everything inside was changed to reflect the theme from "The Nightmare Before Christmas". Disney did an amazing job!

Visit with Mickey right before the firework show which was absolutely amazing as well. Disney always out does themselves!

This was the first time we had seen Mr. Incredible in Disney and Lex just had to visit with him. (He likes to believe he can run as fast as Dash... he is pretty fast I must say!)

Lucky little Isabel got to see all the Pooh characters while the taller people went on another ride. She was so excited to give them all a hug.

The Halloween decor was perfect as was the weather! It was probably just above 80! Perfect!

Think Lex is just a little excited to go on this ride? It is only his all time favorite movie! He can do the entire opening scene by heart with all the words and movements.

Frightmares

Our annual (meaning one time a year) trip to Lagoon was during Frightmares this year due to Shane's hectic school schedule this summer. It was great though because we love halloween. The weather really wasn't that cold- even after the sun set. We met up with our friends and had a really fun time.

Lagoon Pumpkins

Sexy!

Isabel's first time on Dinosaur Drop & Ladybug Bob. I wish I could have captured the expression on her face. You know that butterfly feeling you get when you drop? At first she looked like she wanted to cry, but then decided she liked it. She liked it so much that she was snorting! It was hilarious.

So much fun!

The bug man and his fam!

Caramel apples. Yummy!

Thanks Matt for saving us from all the stomach-turning rides with the kids!

Isabel & her friend, Em! It's so cute to watch them play.

The gang

I love the random expressions Lex gives us. Especially this one. Fits perfectly!

Good night... for now. We just might have to get annual passes now that Lex is tall enough for most of the bigger rides we enjoy and Isabel loves everything she went on, too.

The Kill

Just thought that would be a good, catchy title for our camping trip last weekend. It was Shane & Lex's annual antelope hunt with Grandpa & Grandma Jorgensen in Wyoming. It was the first year that Isabel & I went with. I only agreed because we got to stay in our new trailer. Check out the pictures. They speak louder than words... there's lots to see!

And to end, the funny things kids say and do:

Lex: "I need to pee! Somebody hold my lizard!" Story: We're in the middle of nowhere and Lex has to pee and is holding a toy lizard.

Bel: "I need to go potty, too!" (I know, a pretty normal saying for a 3 yr old.) Story: We're packing up the trailer and Lex needs to pee (again) so I tell him to pee by a bush (he's pro by now). I turn around to make sure he hadn't wandered far and I see Isabel with her pants around her ankles wanting to pee in the bushes too! Wasn't expecting that!

About Me

My photo
Shane and I met my senior year of high school in 1996 and were married in 2000. It's just crazy to think we've known each other for more than a decade and still learn new things about each other. We both graduated from the University of Utah. I have a degree in Finance and Shane has a degree in Biology. We are both enjoying jobs in our respective fields. Our favorite thing to do is travel. Before we started a family, we spent two weeks in Europe touring Italy, Germany, Switzerland, and France. We want to see the world and hopefully take our children along with us when they are older. Our children are our life. Alexander "Lex" is our little man at 7 years old. He loves to try lots of new things. He's currently enrolled in soccer, tumbling & boys' hip hop. Isabel (or Bel as Shane likes to call her) is 3 1/2 years old. She is also enrolled in tumbling & dance. All in all, life is wonderful and we couldn't be happier.
