University of Utah Youth Theatre

Lex has always been our performer and has had a desire to act for quite awhile now. When I found this three week summer program at the University, Lex was all for it. He took classes such as improv, stage combat, and acting technique.  Each company then puts on a 20 minute performance for friends and family at Kingsbury Hall. We were very excited to see how he did. Oh my! When he walked out on that stage in his costume, it was all I could do not to cry. I was already so proud of him. His company performed "Snow White and the Untold Story". He played "Grumpy". He knew all of his lines and we could hear him so clearly. So proud! Did I say that already?

Pre-performance and not nervous one bit!

Doing so great with his lines. It really was so much fun watching him.

Father's Day weekend we headed up to Wyoming and got to spend some time fishing. Lex learned to cast his pole all by himself. He was so proud! Next lesson: worming a hook! Yuck! I'm still learning that one.

Lagoon- FINALLY!

Oh my has it been the coldest spring this year EVER! Well, I don't know if it's the coldest, but it sure hasn't been warm enough to go to Lagoon until just recently. So excited we can finally use our passes! Here's to long, hot summer weekends spent at Lagoon-A-Beach!

About Me

My photo
Shane and I met my senior year of high school in 1996 and were married in 2000. It's just crazy to think we've known each other for more than a decade and still learn new things about each other. We both graduated from the University of Utah. I have a degree in Finance and Shane has a degree in Biology. We are both enjoying jobs in our respective fields. Our favorite thing to do is travel. Before we started a family, we spent two weeks in Europe touring Italy, Germany, Switzerland, and France. We want to see the world and hopefully take our children along with us when they are older. Our children are our life. Alexander "Lex" is our little man at 7 years old. He loves to try lots of new things. He's currently enrolled in soccer, tumbling & boys' hip hop. Isabel (or Bel as Shane likes to call her) is 3 1/2 years old. She is also enrolled in tumbling & dance. All in all, life is wonderful and we couldn't be happier.
