Feliz Navidad- Mayan Riviera

Christmas 2012 we decided to go to Mexico for our holiday trip. We waited a year for this trip and it was practically perfect. Rain and all. As they say, pictures are worth a thousand words...

Can't contain our excitement at the airport.

How you sleep on an airplane chair if you're a kid.

We're here! Where's our hotel transfer?

Animal balloons from an entertainer at dinner. He also did some pretty fun card tricks for us.

The grounds of the Iberostar resort were so beautiful.

Isabel just dressin' the beach baby part.

 Free drinks anyone?

Dessert? Don't mind if we do! Calories don't count when they're this cute, right?

Isabel perfecting the "selfie" photo.

We couldn't have asked for better behaved kids.

View from our room balcony just enjoying the beautiful morning.

When Lex was playing in the ocean, Isabel had no trouble making friends with the other girls playing in the sand.

Shane & beach volleyball. All day. Every day.

More sibling love.

While the ocean took my expensive running sunglasses since I was silly enough to wear them while wave jumping, Isabel found her own treasure in the water.

Lex wasn't going to let a little rain stop him from swimming. We did get two afternoons/evenings of down pour but not enough to make us pout!

One of the evening dinner reservations included a Japanese restaurant.

Never a dull moment!

Are we surprised? Nope.

Saying goodbye... one last bit of ocean & sand on our feet.

And this was fun at 2am... welcome home... sigh...

We're Farmers!

From March to the end of May, Shane had a project that took up nearly every weekend. He has wanted to raise chickens and have fresh eggs of our own for years now. Well, here is the project from start to finish. A big THANK YOU to all our friends & family who helped, too!

About Me

My photo
Shane and I met my senior year of high school in 1996 and were married in 2000. It's just crazy to think we've known each other for more than a decade and still learn new things about each other. We both graduated from the University of Utah. I have a degree in Finance and Shane has a degree in Biology. We are both enjoying jobs in our respective fields. Our favorite thing to do is travel. Before we started a family, we spent two weeks in Europe touring Italy, Germany, Switzerland, and France. We want to see the world and hopefully take our children along with us when they are older. Our children are our life. Alexander "Lex" is our little man at 7 years old. He loves to try lots of new things. He's currently enrolled in soccer, tumbling & boys' hip hop. Isabel (or Bel as Shane likes to call her) is 3 1/2 years old. She is also enrolled in tumbling & dance. All in all, life is wonderful and we couldn't be happier.
