Sickness

About a week before dance competition season started, Isabel got sick. Really sick. When we first took her in to Instacare we were told she had ????, but a week later she still had a very high fever and wasn't getting better. We took her back in for more tests and this time I asked she be tested for flu. Even though it had already been 7 days, I wanted to know. Just to rule it out. Well, it came back positive. She had something that I can't recall on top of flu.

Her fever broke the night before the spring recital. She performed anyway. I remember how skinny she looked. You could tell she lost weight on her small frame and she looked tiny. Too tiny. But, I also remember how I cried. She performed her duo perfectly. I was so scared she didn't have the energy to get through the dance and especially her back walkover. She did it. Shane was also teary-eyed. He couldn't believe how beautiful she had done. She's learned so much this year and I know the extra practices from this duo have made a difference.

Valentine's Day '13

Happy Valentine's Day!

Yep, those are heart shaped bacon. That's what you call a Pinterest fail. Or in common hashtag words
#pinterestfail and that's what you'll find on Instagram these days.

Shane surprised me with this beautiful box and a sweet watch inside.

Our best gifts right here. My heart can't handle all the love and so my eyes fill with tears of joy from these two. We couldn't be more proud of them. Really such sweet kids.

Starbucks coffee love!

About Me

My photo
Shane and I met my senior year of high school in 1996 and were married in 2000. It's just crazy to think we've known each other for more than a decade and still learn new things about each other. We both graduated from the University of Utah. I have a degree in Finance and Shane has a degree in Biology. We are both enjoying jobs in our respective fields. Our favorite thing to do is travel. Before we started a family, we spent two weeks in Europe touring Italy, Germany, Switzerland, and France. We want to see the world and hopefully take our children along with us when they are older. Our children are our life. Alexander "Lex" is our little man at 7 years old. He loves to try lots of new things. He's currently enrolled in soccer, tumbling & boys' hip hop. Isabel (or Bel as Shane likes to call her) is 3 1/2 years old. She is also enrolled in tumbling & dance. All in all, life is wonderful and we couldn't be happier.
