Wyoming Memorial Weekend

This is Lex & Scully (Leslie's sister's dog). He & Isabel couldn't get enough play time with her. Lex especially; he loved helping take care of her all weekend.

Ready little fishin' girl! After this, though, all she wanted to do was play with the rocks.

Grandma helping Lex reel in a catch. Lex caught the most fish out of everyone Saturday & Sunday. He's also become really good at knowing when he has a catch and to reel 'em in. Now if he could learn how to worm his own hook & cast, he'd be set!

Me & Isabel chillin'.

Shane's first catch. Can you see the excitement?

Annual group fishing photo with daddy, son, & grandpa.

Our never-camera-shy 6 1/2 yr old.

Our little Tinker "Bell"~ almost 3 yrs old.

Shane carved our family names into the same tree Alan & Leslie did when their house was built.

Camera Editing

So, I have this expensive camera that I love (well, expensive for an amateur like myself) that I know I've needed to learn more about. I was playing with some of the features (the easy ones) and wanted to share this one of Isabel; also because it shows off her beautiful hair. I included the before and after.

I feel so lucky to have her in my life. She's the doll I get to dress up and do her hair (Shane actually did her hair on this one, though)! I keep my fingers crossed it will last until she's at least 18 yrs old... haha! How about 10 yrs?

Sleep Like a Baby?

Do you ever wonder who coined the phrase "sleep like a baby" and what they were thinking? I'm sure many moms out there have never slept like a baby after having one (in most circumstances anyway). If I were to sleep like this baby here, I wouldn't want to sleep like a baby! Shane discovered Isabel had placed her toys on her blanket and then wrapped herself in them and fell asleep. Kids will fall alseep in the most awkward of places.

About Me

My photo
Shane and I met my senior year of high school in 1996 and were married in 2000. It's just crazy to think we've known each other for more than a decade and still learn new things about each other. We both graduated from the University of Utah. I have a degree in Finance and Shane has a degree in Biology. We are both enjoying jobs in our respective fields. Our favorite thing to do is travel. Before we started a family, we spent two weeks in Europe touring Italy, Germany, Switzerland, and France. We want to see the world and hopefully take our children along with us when they are older. Our children are our life. Alexander "Lex" is our little man at 7 years old. He loves to try lots of new things. He's currently enrolled in soccer, tumbling & boys' hip hop. Isabel (or Bel as Shane likes to call her) is 3 1/2 years old. She is also enrolled in tumbling & dance. All in all, life is wonderful and we couldn't be happier.
