Modern Day Pyramid

We thought we'd have some fun with the kids on this beautiful afternoon last weekend and had the kids make a human pyramid. Watch the progress:

1) Planning

2) Construction

3) Demolition

And of course, we had to try it ourselves!

Horse racing to finish it off!

It's neck & neck with Leah in the lead by a toothless smile!!

Family Reunion 2008

Grandpa Jorgensen always teases that he'll make my kids hunters since I always say they won't be. Well, Lex loves to go antelope hunting every year now. Isabel is getting older and one day may too fall to Grandpa's ways :) So, I tease that Isabel will never wear camo. I found this pink camo set that found us on middle ground. It's camo, but it's pink so it works for both of us!

Grandpa bought a rifle BB gun for Lex to shoot. They are shooting at cans. Lex has great aim already. He hit the cans a number of times which I think is pretty good considering the type of gun and his age.

I was taking some campfire pictures and Isabel thought it was hilarious to pop up her hand at the very last second to show this water bottle cap.

I was worried Lex wouldn't have anyone his age to play with since we knew a lot of his "local" cousins weren't going to make it to the reunion. The first day we were there, he made friends quickly. Ryan (Blake's son on the right) was Lex's camping buddy the whole time. It was cute. Lex called him his best friend. They got along really well and didn't really get into too much mischief for a couple of 5 (almost 6) year olds. I hope we can see them again before another year passes!

It rained (DOWNPOURED) every day we camped. It mostly rained at night, but there were a few times we were stuck inside the trailer. I brought crafts for the kids which kept them occupied for awhile. It was better than playing in the mud!

About Me

My photo
Shane and I met my senior year of high school in 1996 and were married in 2000. It's just crazy to think we've known each other for more than a decade and still learn new things about each other. We both graduated from the University of Utah. I have a degree in Finance and Shane has a degree in Biology. We are both enjoying jobs in our respective fields. Our favorite thing to do is travel. Before we started a family, we spent two weeks in Europe touring Italy, Germany, Switzerland, and France. We want to see the world and hopefully take our children along with us when they are older. Our children are our life. Alexander "Lex" is our little man at 7 years old. He loves to try lots of new things. He's currently enrolled in soccer, tumbling & boys' hip hop. Isabel (or Bel as Shane likes to call her) is 3 1/2 years old. She is also enrolled in tumbling & dance. All in all, life is wonderful and we couldn't be happier.
