And there he goes… I can’t even start to tell you the swell of emotion I felt watching him get on that bus and also all the worries that came through my head! How do I know he got to school safely? How do I know he got to his class? How do I know he’ll get home? How do I know someone won’t snatch him while he’s out of my sight?

Just An Example
I just had to share this with everyone before I forgot. It's just an example of some of the funniest things Lex says. I'm trying to teach Lex not to say "um" almost every other word. He said he doesn't know how. So, I suggested he pause to think about what he was about to say before he said it. He then said "Mom, I can't pause. I'm not a movie." It was just so funny. He says things like this everyday. He's just so innocent about it. He doesn't even know why what he just said is funny. It's endearing...

Happy Independence Day!
It was such a fun weekend! My mom flew in from Vegas to visit everyone. We made sure that time was well spent and so tried to do a lot and still have time to relax.
Lex loves sparklers! He was so happy to finally light all the fireworks.

Cancun June 2008
Here are some of my favorite pictures from our trip to Cancun this year. Our favorite destination to visit while we were there was Xel-Ha. It is this really great ecological water park. We had the water camera with us there for all the water stuff and I haven't developed that yet. Soon. For now, though, these are fun...

Shane played water volleyball, beach volleyball, and soccer. So fun! I just lounged :)
These guys were everywhere! Scares you when they come running across your path out of the bushes.
Parrots at Xel-Ha ecological water park. And then us having a nice evening at Dreams Cancun Hotel. Highly recommended to anyone going to stay in Cacun!

- Shane and I met my senior year of high school in 1996 and were married in 2000. It's just crazy to think we've known each other for more than a decade and still learn new things about each other. We both graduated from the University of Utah. I have a degree in Finance and Shane has a degree in Biology. We are both enjoying jobs in our respective fields. Our favorite thing to do is travel. Before we started a family, we spent two weeks in Europe touring Italy, Germany, Switzerland, and France. We want to see the world and hopefully take our children along with us when they are older. Our children are our life. Alexander "Lex" is our little man at 7 years old. He loves to try lots of new things. He's currently enrolled in soccer, tumbling & boys' hip hop. Isabel (or Bel as Shane likes to call her) is 3 1/2 years old. She is also enrolled in tumbling & dance. All in all, life is wonderful and we couldn't be happier.
