First day of school

Officially for Lex, anyway. Isabel went for a grand total of 20 minutes. Just long enough to sign-up for her assessment test later in the week.

Adele Concert

We joined some friends to see Adele in concert at the Gallivan Center. We've never been to an outdoor venue before and it was really quite enjoyable. I thought I'd get really tired standing the whole concert, but it wasn't a problem.  She sounded absolutely beautiful singing live and it was a great concert. Shane likes her even more now and wishes he had listened to all of the songs on her album beforehand.

Cabin at Bear Lake

After years of talking about it, we finally did it. A weekend in a cabin at Bear Lake. All the sisters were there (with Kristin in spirit) and all the cousins. We took a drive to Minnetonka Cave and ventured the hike into the cold mountain. We made the traditional trip to La Beau to have a fabulous raspberry shake, and maybe some food, too. The kids played in the lake while we watched and soaked in the afternoon sun. It was a fun time for all and hope to make it an annual event.

Saturday morning we awoke to an amazing thunder storm. I took nearly a hundred photos on my iPhone to catch this one perfect picture. It really is perfect. Look how the lightning touches the lake. Amazing.
