Sunday Adventures

We had a busy day today. First we started off with daddy's health shake. The kids just beg for a sip and this is what they look like afterwards.

We are working on re-landscaping the frontyard and Lex was so willing to help. We take advantage of this energetic help now before the days come where we have to threaten for the help (aka the teen days). I'll post some before and after pics when we are done, but until then here's a peek of Isabel pulling the tulips for us. Sad, but they had to go if we're going to start with a fresh slate.

A beautiful afternoon deserves a picnic in the park. Lex said "It's the best day ever!" I'm glad he had fun. Shane practiced some soccer skills with him which he'd been wanting to do for awhile.

Thailand

We took almost 400 pictures during our trip to Thailand so I picked out just the highlights of what we saw and did.

View of Phuket, Thailand from the balcony of our room the first morning of our arrival.

Hotel scenery. The landscaping at the hotel was absolutely beautiful.

Elephant trekking in the jungle on our second day. I'm not sure we ended up with the right tour group, but got to do what we had planned on so it worked out. Our elephant guide told us he only gets to visit his family once a year!

FantaSea- Las Vegas/Disney type theme park & show (kinda bizzare).
Maya Bay "The Beach"- absolutely the most beautiful place we visited. We took a ferry from Thailand to the Phi Phi islands which was a 90 minute ride. We felt the heat & humidity the most this day (on our return from Phi Phi to Phuket) to the point of near unbearable, but thankfully the ferry home was boarding early and we could sit in the air conditioned boat instead of having to wander the vendor streets any longer!

HUGE spiders we saw during our countryside bike trek. They were bigger than my hand!

Marianne & Lek (our tour guide). We biked 54 km that day. We had sore bottoms all day, but it was worth it!

Waterfall we saw at the end of the bike tour.

Hilton's spirit house (Thai cultural belief that it keeps bad spirits away from main house.)

Wat Chalong temple

Yummy treats at the Hilton cafe

Sipping pina coladas at one of the hotel's pools. We did this quite a bit!

Karon beach (across the street from our hotel)

About Me

My photo
Shane and I met my senior year of high school in 1996 and were married in 2000. It's just crazy to think we've known each other for more than a decade and still learn new things about each other. We both graduated from the University of Utah. I have a degree in Finance and Shane has a degree in Biology. We are both enjoying jobs in our respective fields. Our favorite thing to do is travel. Before we started a family, we spent two weeks in Europe touring Italy, Germany, Switzerland, and France. We want to see the world and hopefully take our children along with us when they are older. Our children are our life. Alexander "Lex" is our little man at 7 years old. He loves to try lots of new things. He's currently enrolled in soccer, tumbling & boys' hip hop. Isabel (or Bel as Shane likes to call her) is 3 1/2 years old. She is also enrolled in tumbling & dance. All in all, life is wonderful and we couldn't be happier.
