Bountiful Parade

We had our first really good reason to go to a parade this year... Isabel! She got to participate with her dance studio on a float. We sat towards the end of the route to watch, so she was pretty tuckered out from dancing already by the time she got to us.

High pony tails and pink polka dot tops!

And finally, proof that she had fun!
Isabel was still in a great mood even 3 hours later!
Boy that was a long afternoon!!

We're so happy she loves to dance.

First Lost Tooth!

Shane decided today was the day that Lex's first loose tooth was coming out. It's been loose for months now and Shane was sure it would come out without much fuss. I've heard "horror" stories from other parents how difficult the first loose tooth can be, so I was definitely worried.

And the only tears were mine! I can't help being a sentimental mom. Just another "first" in his life come and gone. There are only so many, ya know??!!

Lowe's Builder

I heard of a free to-do on the radio a few weeks ago and signed Lex up to participate since it sounded fun. We went yesterday and I couldn't believe this little event was free. Lex got a quality worker apron, good plastic safety goggles, and a kit to make a treasure chest. After he was done building it, he was given a certificate and a badge to sew onto his apron. I noticed some other kids around us with their aprons and they had a number of other kinds of badges that had to do with things like gardening. I was very appreciative of the free event and hope to make it to more. Lex had a wonderful time. Although I hadn't signed Isabel up, they offered her a kit to make too.

Our Little Graduate

Lex graduated from Kindergarten today. He also had the wonderful chance to experience Kindergarten with his cousin, Kaylan, this year. She will be going to the new school in her neighborhood next year and Lex will miss seeing her at school very much. Congratulations to both of you. Next big step? 1st GRADE!!

Lex & Kaylan with their diplomas.

Wonderful Mrs. Wells. She was a great teacher!

And our STAR! We are so very proud of him & his accomplishments this year!

About Me

My photo
Shane and I met my senior year of high school in 1996 and were married in 2000. It's just crazy to think we've known each other for more than a decade and still learn new things about each other. We both graduated from the University of Utah. I have a degree in Finance and Shane has a degree in Biology. We are both enjoying jobs in our respective fields. Our favorite thing to do is travel. Before we started a family, we spent two weeks in Europe touring Italy, Germany, Switzerland, and France. We want to see the world and hopefully take our children along with us when they are older. Our children are our life. Alexander "Lex" is our little man at 7 years old. He loves to try lots of new things. He's currently enrolled in soccer, tumbling & boys' hip hop. Isabel (or Bel as Shane likes to call her) is 3 1/2 years old. She is also enrolled in tumbling & dance. All in all, life is wonderful and we couldn't be happier.
