TJS Photo Shoot

I captured a few images of Isabel during her photo shoot for The Jazz Studio competition group pictures. She's at that age it seems that the smile usually looks forced. Next year maybe she'll have down that natural smile!

Clark Planetarium

Memorial weekend we had Shane's dad & step-mom stay with us. The weather has been wet & cold, so unfortunately we couldn't do much outdoors. We decided to visit the Clark Planetarium on our way home from a trip down to Cabela's. None of us had been except Lex and all of us remember our field trip days to when it was Hansen Planetarium.

I liked this display because it reminds me of my dad and his Thiokol/ATK days.

Year End Recital

It was fun to see all the dances in one evening. Usually at the competitions, I am back stage with Isabel getting her ready or we don't stay for the entire day and so miss out on most of the performances. All the teams did so wonderfully this year and we can't wait to do it again next season. Great job, Isabel!

Isabel's Preschool Graduation

I know it sounds so cliche, but it really does feel like only yesterday that I was at Lex's preschool graduation. Fast forward four years later and here we are at Isabel's. Always bittersweet.

35 Year Anniversary

At 10am local time in Montego Bay, Jamaica, my parents renewed their wedding vows.  They have been married for 35 years! Congratulations Mom & Dad!

Nana asked Lex if he would walk her down the aisle. It was really cute and he felt very important for this role.

Sesame Street Breakfast

We treated the kids to a special breakfast with the Sesame Street characters. They haven't watched Sesame Street in awhile, but they still know who these guys are and were very excited to spend some of their morning with them.

JAMAICA- BEACHES NEGRIL

It's hard to fall asleep when you know you have to be up before the sun rises. Our alarm was set to go off at 3:15AM Saturday morning, but I was so worried about sleeping through it that I was up and getting last minute things ready at 3AM. I knew Lex & Isabel would be more than happy to wake up knowing where they were going. Still got some yawns, though.

Everyone (us, the Hochs, and Cassie) made it to the airport on time and we got to Jamaica (after a stop in Texas) just after lunch as scheduled.  The 90 minute van ride to the resort took forever it seemed like, but it didn't help that Isabel really needed a restroom half way through the trip. Go figure!

After a warm welcome from the concierge desk, we were ready for some drinks, sun, & sand!

About Me

My photo
Shane and I met my senior year of high school in 1996 and were married in 2000. It's just crazy to think we've known each other for more than a decade and still learn new things about each other. We both graduated from the University of Utah. I have a degree in Finance and Shane has a degree in Biology. We are both enjoying jobs in our respective fields. Our favorite thing to do is travel. Before we started a family, we spent two weeks in Europe touring Italy, Germany, Switzerland, and France. We want to see the world and hopefully take our children along with us when they are older. Our children are our life. Alexander "Lex" is our little man at 7 years old. He loves to try lots of new things. He's currently enrolled in soccer, tumbling & boys' hip hop. Isabel (or Bel as Shane likes to call her) is 3 1/2 years old. She is also enrolled in tumbling & dance. All in all, life is wonderful and we couldn't be happier.
